How we help

A Neuroaffirming Approach

Being neurodivergent is not a problem to be fixed. Neuroaffirming care means recognizing that neurological differences are a natural part of human diversity. Rather than trying to make someone appear more "typical," we focus on understanding their strengths, honoring their needs, and helping them develop strategies that support a meaningful and authentic life.

We believe that when people understand how their brains work, they can advocate for themselves, build confidence, and thrive in environments that support them.

Areas We Often Support

Sensory Processing

Our brains take in information from eight sensory systems:

  • Touch (tactile)

  • Vestibular

  • Proprioception

  • Vision

  • Hearing

  • Taste

  • Smell

  • Interoception (Internal body signals such as hunger, thirst, pain, and emotions)

When sensory systems process information differently, it can affect comfort, attention, regulation, participation, relationships, learning, and daily routines. We help individuals and families understand sensory needs and develop supportive strategies that work in real life.

Executive Functioning

Executive functioning refers to the brain skills that help us manage daily life, goals, and responsibilities. We commonly support:

  • Getting started on tasks (initiation)

  • Planning and prioritizing

  • Organization

  • Time management

  • Working memory

  • Flexible thinking

  • Emotional regulation

  • Self-monitoring and self-reflection

These skills affect everything from getting dressed and completing homework to managing work responsibilities, relationships, and independent living.

We Also Support

  • Emotional regulation

  • Attention and focus

  • Anxiety and stress management

  • Daily routines and life skills

  • Social connection and communication

  • Self-advocacy

  • Play and participation

  • School, work, and community engagement

  • Motor coordination and body awareness

  • Building confidence and understanding personal strengths

Our goal is not to change who you are. Our goal is to help you understand your brain, discover what works for you, and build a life that feels more connected, successful, and authentically yours.
